Meet Our YP Bloggers

Looking to learn more about our regular YP bloggers? Here are our stud scribes:

Mo Stych is a visual designer who believes in green living, face-to-face conversations, and following her instincts. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a History of Art degree, she returned back home to Traverse City and began renovating an old farmhouse.
Now that she is back in her hometown, Mo is pursuing a career in marketing and design. She is the lead blogger for the Traverse City Young Professionals and has written for The Michigan Daily, the Traverse City Record-Eagle, and the Traverse City Tourism blog
A strong advocate for building community, Mo is a long-time volunteer for the Dennos Museum and Traverse City Film Festival, and she sits on boards for Angel Care Child Care and the Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) Alumni Association. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the wilderness with her husband, running and cycling, and watching her five adorable chickens run around in the backyard.

Cindy Evans is a Graphic Design/Marketing graduate from Central Michigan University. Before she could embark on her dream of being in the advertising world, directly after graduation, she toured a unique non-profit organization. Her heart was instantly captured by the mission of Grand Traverse Industries and it's employees with developmental disabilities. Fourteen years later she is now the Director of Services for this inspiring organization. She believes it’s better to serve others and give, it’s not about her...but them. Every day is an opportunity to make a difference. She has a passion for people with a strong conviction for serving her community and those in need.
Cindy is dedicated to her family and church, she believes serving God is still imperative today. She loves living in Traverse City because of its amazing beauty. She likes to kayak, ride her bike, horseback ride, and collect rocks from the local beaches. She is also a member of the YP Business After Hours Committee: you will often find her behind the registration desk helping with those tricky name tags!

Emily Petrovich is one of the co-founders of NewEra Social Marketing, a company that she and husband John started in Colorado Springs in 2009 and moved back to their home state of Michigan in 2013. She holds a degree in Psychology from Western Michigan University and first put it to work in the fields of social services, mental health, and art therapy.
Working mainly in the nonprofit sector during the first part of her professional career, Emily gravitated toward the development area for nonprofits, quickly realizing that both nonprofits and small businesses could greatly benefit from high quality social marketing services priced for limited budgets. This is the foundation that NewEra was built upon and both Emily and John are excited to be able to bring these services to the northern Michigan community.
Emily grew up on a farm in the mid-Michigan area and holds the learned skills, values and philosophies of farm life close to her heart. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park and enjoys combining her love of healing, working-with-your-hands activities on behalf of a wonderful organization with her professional experience of building community through social marketing, both online and off. Emily loves heading out for northern Michigan adventures with John, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Sulley.
